Pizzeria Picadilly, located in the old part of Staro Velenje, was opened back in 1995.
We offer as many as 29 delicious types of pizza; in addition, our guests have the option to build their very own pizzas. Our offer also includes salads that are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. To make it more varied, we also have a choice of noodles with cheese, meat or seafood, soups, various types of steaks and stuffed loaves.
At the Pizzeria Picadilly, the menu also includes desserts such as Picadilly cake, tiramisu, yoghurt cake, hot fruit salad, ice cream, etc. Every day we propose a rich, varied a la carte menu. Besides, we prepare company dinners for larger companies and special occasion meals. We try to please every our guest to the fullest possible extent.
Ana Anderlič and her husband opened the Pizzeria Picadilly in 1995. The beginnings were very difficult, as it took a lot of financial investment, knowledge and, above all, good food to make the new pizzeria their favourite place. After one year, opening a pizzeria proved to be extremely productive. Acting of the whole family with determination and commitment finally has borne fruit.
The pizzeria employs 9 persons, including the daughter of Mrs. Anderlič, who is also very successful in doing her job. If necessary, we also hire students.
Throughout the season, the Pizzeria Picadilly attracts guests who like to cool off in the natural shade of the beautifully landscaped terrace garden, where 48 people can be served. During the winter, for those who prefer to stay inside the Pizzeria Picadilly offers a unique ambience within two thematically arranged rooms - Spanish and Italian, where there is room for about 50 people.
The special feature of the Pizzeria Picadilly is that everything is baked exclusively in a wood fired brick oven. This improves the quality of our perfectly prepared food. Here you will also find a specialty on our menu - the so-called "Picadilly lojtra", which you can order every Wednesday.
In the future, it's out wish to improve the diversity of food selection and hire another chef to make the work as optimal as possible. In 2010, we bought an adjoining space and enlarged the kitchen, which was necessary given the growing range of food offered.
